Moving forward: our new services

May was a busy month of preparation for us.  Our Office Manager, Sam, started working again; we’ve added new specialists to our freelance pool and started working with some brilliant interns; and we’ve rejigged how we deliver our services – all to ensure we continue to offer great quality and value for money.

PR is an expensive business and a lot of work goes into building and protecting a brand’s reputation. Research, relationship building developing in-depth industry knowledge and placing this within a wider comms strategy, are a few parts of the process. This is why companies pay out thousands a month for a good service.

I’ve always been passionate about finding ways to make PR accessible to  all and it take time to get it right. In the early days of running a business, I generally  targeted  bigger  businesses  with a ‘typical’  PR budget and tried to offer smaller services alongside that. More recently, since living in  North Yorkshire and having a child, I’ve mainly focused on businesses with smaller budgets. This has fitted in with my lifestyle but has also given me the opportunity to really get a sense of what works and what doesn’t. I’m now combining the two and I’m confident our new offering will have something for those who are serious about their brand’s reputation.

“Our PR Hour is for DIYers who want to manage their own communications; our Spokesperson package is an introductory service and the PR Taster does what it says on the tin.

Our other strand will be targeted at companies requiring a bespoke service and can include PR; media relations; press events; digital media planning and implementation (including social media, blogs and newsletters). Work will typically start at four days a month (or equivalent) and we’ll work hard to ensure all relevant opportunities are harnessed.

Our podcast production service will also fall under this strand and can be delivered as a stand-alone service or as part of a wider communications strategy. Our training workshops will continue to run alongside all we do.

Essentially, we’re passionate about engaging content. We take our time to ensure what we’re writing is relevant for that particular audience, we consider your brand values and company voice and we ensure our content has an impact, because we’re focused on results. And this applies to all mediums, be that editorial content for journalists, social media, copywriting or script-writing for podcasts.

It’s been a long few months but we really are excited about working alongside businesses as we all forge new ways of selling, communicating and surviving whatever the economy may throw our way in the coming months.
